This Privacy Policy applies to the iOS mobile application "AiryFeed" (the "App"), provided by Ryo Narisawa (the "Service Provider") as an independently developed service. This service is provided "AS IS."

Information Collection and Use

The App may collect and process the following information in order to provide and improve its services:

• Anonymous user identifier: The App automatically generates an anonymous user ID via Firebase Authentication when launched. This does not identify any specific individual and is used to synchronize your data (such as subscribed feeds and read states) across devices.
• Account information when signing in: If you optionally sign in (link your account) with a Google account or Apple ID, the App obtains account information such as your email address and display name, and uses it to migrate and synchronize your data.
• Usage statistics: The App collects information about how it is used (such as screen transitions, interaction events, usage time, OS version, and device type) through Google Analytics for Firebase.
• Crash reports: The App collects diagnostic information when it terminates abnormally, through Firebase Crashlytics.

Data Stored in Cloud Firestore

The App stores your data in Cloud Firestore, provided by Google, and synchronizes it across devices. The main information stored is as follows:

• URLs, titles, and site information of subscribed feeds
• Folder and tag structures
• Metadata of each article (title, URL, author, publication date and time, etc.)
• Read / starred (favorite) states of articles

Article bodies are not stored. Article bodies are loaded directly from the linked website in a WebView when viewed (the body is not stored on the App's servers).

Handling of Information in the AI Summary Feature

The App's AI summary feature uses Apple's on-device foundation models (Apple Intelligence) to process article text only on your device. Neither the article text nor the generated summary text is ever transmitted to or stored on any external server operated by the Service Provider or any third party.

Communication for Feed Retrieval and Article Viewing

To retrieve the RSS / Atom feeds you subscribe to, the App communicates with the servers that deliver those feeds. When you view an article, the App accesses the website linked from the article via a WebView. These destination servers and websites are operated by third parties and handle information in accordance with their own privacy policies. To obtain feed thumbnail images, the App may retrieve metadata (such as Open Graph data) from article pages.

Notifications

The App may use local notifications (notifications generated within the device) to inform you of new articles. No external push notification server is used to send notifications. You can change notification permissions at any time in your device's settings.
